The opening portion of the publication begins with a note from the transcriber regarding corrections made to printer’s errors, primarily focusing on punctuation and accents. It is formally presented as a list of post offices in Canada as of January 1st, 1863, including the relevant names and titles of the principal officers within the Post Office Department, followed by a detailed list of post offices themselves.
